North Clay High School graduate Andy Haines has been named hitting coach of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Haines is leaving the Chicago Cubs after two seasons as assisting hitting coach to take the Brewers' job. He replaces Darnell Coles, who has taken the Arizona hitting coach position.

Haines' departure was reported in the Chicago Tribune and by other media outlets. Thanks, also, to Haines' North Clay friend and the Cardinals boys' basketball coach Josh Zink, who let us know about Haines' move. Josh quipped, "a lot of people in Louisville just became Brewers fans!"
