Baseball's Willie McCovey Dies at 80

Baseball Hall of Famer Willie McCovey has died at the age of 80. McCovey played 19 of his 22 seasons with the San Francisco Giants, was the 1959 NL rookie of the year, the 1969 National League MVP and hit 521 career home runs. McCovey’s 18 grand slams remain an NL record.


Kershaw, Dodgers Extend Deadline

Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to extend the deadline on his opt-out decision until 1 p.m. tomorrow. The team made the announcement a couple hours before last night’s deadline. Kershaw can opt out of the last two years and $65 million of his contract to become a free agent.
