Junior High Class S Regional -- Sept. 19

Altamont Lutheran Inter-Parish knocked in eight runs in the third inning on its way to a 12-1 victory over Patoka Wednesday in the SIJHSAA Class S Baseball Regional at Odin.

The offensive onslaught came from a walk by Nathan Stuemke, a triple by Nathan Shepard, a single by Mason Robinson, a groundout by Dillan Elam and an error on a ball put in play by Logan Cornett.

Cornett picked up the pitching victory. He surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out four and walking one.

Carter Siebert had two singles and drove in two runs while Shepard had a triple and two RBI.

Aviston trounced Breese All Saints, 13-3 in the other contest.

Altamont Lutheran will now meet Aviston at 4:30 p.m. Friday for the regional championship.
