MATTOON -- Mattoon took a 2-0 lead on Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School in the second, tacked on three more in the fifth and finished with a 5-1 baseball victory Tuesday.

The Bullpups lone run came in the seventh. Sehy had a single, double and an RBI.

Mattoon was led by Hawkins and Junge with a single and double each. Junge added an RBI.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City banged out 11 hits in a 10-4 win over Ramsey Tuesday.

CHBC tallied two in the second, six in the third and two more in the fifth.

Jacob Doty had two doubles and an RBI while Kenny Fisher had two doubles and two RBI. Drake Davis added a single, double and an RBI. Clayton Wojcik had two singles and five RBI. CHBC improved to 2-6.

Sigel St. Michael picked up a 9-1 victory over Neoga Tuesday.

Neoga had seven hits in the contest.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis played host to Jasper County and claimed a 6-2 win Tuesday.

T-town tallied three in the second and fifth innings. The Wooden Shoes had a 10-hit attack as C. Bloemer had two singles, a home run and three RBI, T. Schwerdt two singles and a double and B. Goeckner two singles and an RBI.

Jasper County was led by I. Flowers with a double, home run and one RBI and D. Baltzell, with a double.

Altamont Lutheran Inter-Parish pounded Dieterich 18-2 in Tuesday action thanks to 12 runs in the second inning.

The offensive firepower was led by Avery Jahraus, Nathan Shepard, Aden McManaway, Eli Miller, Kaidyn Miller and Nathan Stuemke, all sending runners across the plate.

The Rockets took a 6-0 opening inning lead before the 12-run second. Dieterich tallied two in the third.

Altamont Lutheran had seven hits and was aided by three Dieterich errors. Jahraus had two singles and two RBI to lead the winners while A. McManaway had a single and four RBI.

Mason Robinson picked up the pitching win, going two innings, allowing no hits, four walks and struck out three.
