The Teutopolis Falcons handily beat Effingham Veterinary 16-5 in Prep League action at Evergreen Hollow Park Wednesday.

The Falcons took a 5-2 opening inning lead and added on five more in the second, two in the third and finished out with four in the fourth.

Joey Niebrugge had two doubles and an RBI for the winners while Evan Waldhoff and Ross Deters had three singles each. Waldhoff added three RBI and Deters two. Ben Goeckner had a single, double and two RBI and Jackson Kinkelaar two singles and an RBI.

Quest Hull and Logan Heil led Effingham Veterinary with a double each.

In the second game, Taylor Law Offices captured a 13-11 victory over the Teutopolis Warriors.

The score was tied at 3-3 in the top of the second before Taylor scored four in the bottom of the frame and moved ahead 9-3 in the third. The Warriors came back with two in the fourth but Taylor retaliated with four in the bottom of the inning for a 13-5 lead. The Warriors made one final assault, scoring six runs in the fifth but ended up falling short.

Ethan Wells led the way for Taylor Law with a single, double and two RBI while Gabe Beals had two singles and three RBI.

Adam Lustig led the Warriors with two doubles and two RBI while Eli Hanson had three singles and an RBI and Nolan Runde two singles and two RBI.
