CHICAGO -- The Chicago Cubs bullpen failed once again. This time it was the sixth inning when the Pittsburgh Pirates scored five runs and finished with a 7-1 victory at Wrigley Field.

Reliever Brian Duensing took over in the sixth for starter Kyle Hendricks. Pittsburgh's Austin Meadows immediately jumped on Duensing for a double. Then Duensing gave up a walk, an RBI single to Elias Diaz and another walk. The Pirates scored five runs for a 5-0 lead.

Hendricks gave up a solo shot to Josh Harrison in the first.

The Cubs finally scored their lone run in the sixth when Jason Heyward doubled, took third on a wild pitch and scored on Anthony Rizzo's ground out.

Reds 6, Cardinals 3

The St. Louis Cardinals' Carlos Martinez lasted only 3 2/3 innings in a 6-3 loss to the Cincinnati Reds Sunday.

Martinez walked seven and finished with five earned runs on four hits. He did get out of a bases-loaded situation in the third allowing only one run but the fourth inning did him in as the Reds took a 5-2 lead.

The Cardinals took a 2-0 lead in the third when Marcell Ozuna singled home a run and Yadier Molina hit a sacrifice fly. Ozuna's single came with the bases loaded. He hit a ball to left field and Cincinnati's Jesse Winkler appeared to catch the ball at the wall and throw to get Tommy Pham at second. But the Cardinals challenged the play and won when the replay showed the ball bounced off the wall before Winkler caught it.

The Cardinals came back in the sixth with a run but the Reds' bullpen did the job.

Mets' Cespedes Dealth Another Setback

The New York Mets say that Yoenis Cespedes has been dealt another setback in his rehab process.

The team had hoped Cespedes would return to the lineup Monday, but he felt tightness in his right quad after doubling Saturday in a minor league game and has been sent back to Florida.

The Mets also released first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and designated catcher Jose Lobaton for assignment.
