CHICAGO -- Despite two home runs by Albert Almora, Jr. and Kris Bryant, the Chicago Cubs ended up with a 6-5 loss against Atlanta at Wrigley Field Monday. The game was a makeup from a rained out contest April 15.

Unfortunately, Cubs' Jose Quintana couldn't keep the Braves from knocking out home runs. Quintana gave up three home runs and all six runs in the game including Jose Bautista's three-run homer in the fifth. Quintana finished with six strikeouts and three walks to go along with nine hits.

The Cubs loaded the bases in the ninth with one out. Victor Caratini singled and went to second on a passed ball. Kyle Schwarber drew a walk and Almora singled. With the second out on the board, David Bote was hit by a pitch and a run scored to pull the Cubs within one. But Bryant hit a fly ball out that ended the game.
