T-town, WSS, Altamont, Dieterich, Neoga Are Winners in Baseball

Teutopolis High School blanked Champaign Central to the tune of 6-0 in baseball action Tuesday.

The Wooden Shoes tallied two in the fourth and finished out with four in the sixth.

T-town had four hits and was aided by five Central errors. The lone extra base hit of the game came from Drew Thoele with a double and an RBI.

Eric Kremer picked up the pitching win, going 6.2 innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out 14. The Shoes improved to 20-5 while Kremer's pitching record is now 5-0-1.

At Windsor

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg led 5-3 after four innings then broke the game open with a five-run fifth and finished it by the 10-run rule in the sixth, 13-3 over Tri-County-Shiloh-Oakland.

The Hatchets banged out 11 hits in the contest led by Beau Bennet with two doubles and two RBI, Christian Kessler with three singles and two RBI, Isaac Kramer with two singles and four RBI and Owen Bridges with two singles and an RBI.

Logan Greuel went the six innings, allowing seven hits, three walks and eight strikeouts.

Altamont tallied three in the second and had a big six-run third inning. The game ended in the fifth by a 10-0 count against Brownstown/St. Elmo Tuesday.

Wyatt Vaughn pitched a four-hitter with one walk and two strikeouts.

Noah Teasley had a triple and drove in three runs for the winners. Noah Kopplin added a double and an RBI.

Brown led St. Elmo/Brownstown with two singles. BSE drops to 5-10.

At Altamont

Dieterich stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to down Cumberland 8-1 Tuesday.

The Movin' Maroons had nine hits led by Calloway Campton with four singles and an RBI, Devin Flach with a single, double and three RBI and Paul Thoele with a double and an RBI. Thoele was the winning pitcher going three innings, allowing two hits, one walk and struck out four.

Cumberland was led by Reid Mathenia with a double.

Neoga stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on to down Mulberry Grove 13-2 in six innings.

Clayton Butler went all six innings, allowed two hits, four walks and struck out eight.

Butler also had a big offensive game with a double, home run and three RBI. R. Ramert had a single, triple and three RBI.

Effingham St. Anthony hosted Robinson in freshman/sophomore action Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell to the Maroons 1-0 in eight innings.

Robinson finally scored in the top of the eighth on three hits. Johnson had two singles and drove in the winning run.

St. Anthony had four hits, two singles each by Fearday and Rios.
