Yankees Slam Minnesota, MLB Scores

NEW YORK -- The New York Yankees slammed the Minnesota Twins, 14-1 Monday evening at Yankee Stadium.

Giancarlo Stanton had a four-hit performance and Didi Gregorious nailed a grand slam in the eighth inning. Stanton pounced on a curveball to hit a 435-foot blast into left field for his fifth home run as a Yankee. He also had a run-scoring single in the seventh.

Gregorious' second career grand slam came against Tyler Kinley.

Effingham graduate Chad Green got in briefly for the Yankees, allowing one walk.
