Effingham St. Anthony tallied a 4-3 victory over Sullivan in junior high baseball competition Wednesday.

Sullivan took a 1-0 first inning lead then the Bullpups tied at 1-1 in the third. Sullivan moved ahead with a run in the fourth and one in the sixth to lead 3-1. St. Anthony then came back with three runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the victory.

The Bullpups had seven hits led by Stewart with a triple and an RBI, Sehy with a triple, Hoene with a double and an RBI and Levitt with a double.

Hoene picked up the pitching win, going the last two innings, allowing two hits, one run, one walk and striking out two.

Effingham edged Teutopolis 4-3 in junior high B action Wednesday.

The Mustangs tallied two in the fourth and led 4-1 in the sixth. T-town came back with two runs in the seventh.

Waymoth had two singles for Effingham.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis played host to Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor and edged the visitors 10-9 in action Wednesday.

The Wooden Shoes held a 4-0 lead in the third but SSW came back with six runs in the fifth. The Shoes moved ahead 10-6 in the sixth. SSW made a comeback bid in the seventh that fell short.

Konkel, Pruemer and Roepke had a double each. Roepke drove in two runs while Konkel and Pruemer had one RBI each. K. Althoff and Buehnerkemper had two singles each. Buehnerkemper drove in two runs.
