NEOGA -- Neoga High School handed South Central a 6-2 baseball loss Tuesday.

The Cougars edged out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second but Neoga came roaring back in the bottom of the frame for five runs. The two teams tacked on a run each in the sixth.

The Indians had eight hits, all singles. Ramert and Fearday had two singles each. Ramert drove in a run. Wood had two RBI without a hit.

Brandt had a solo home run for South Central while Blomberg had a single, double and an RBI.

At Neoga

At Brownstown

St. Elmo/Brownstown played host to Dieterich and sent the Movin' Maroons home with a 4-0 loss Tuesday.

SEB tallied all four runs in the first inning and had five hits in the contest. Brown had two singles and an RBI to lead the way.

Hunzinger had two singles and Thoele a double for Dieterich.

Brown picked up the pitching win, going all seven innings, allowing four hits, one walk and striking out five.

At Windsor

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg took a 2-0 first inning lead and went on for an 8-3 victory over North Clay (Louisville) Tuesday.

North Clay pulled within 2-1 in the second. The Hatchets tallied four more in the fifth and two in the sixth.

WSS was led by Christian Kessler and Chase Thies with a double and an RBI each.

Noth Clay was led by Reese Blank and Quincy Aldrich with two singles.

Altamont edged out to a 1-0 lead on Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and went on to end the game in the fifth inning via the 10-run rule, 10-0.

The Indians banged out 11 hits in the contest led by Pemberton with two doubles and an RBI, Whitt with a single, triple and an RBI, Miller with a double and three RBI and Vaughn with two singles and an RBI.

CHBC was led by Barnes with a double.
