Teutopolis Junior High School claimed two 17-0 wins over Effingham St. Anthony in baseball competition Saturday.

The Wooden Shoes won 17-0 behind a 15 hit attack The Shoes took a 13-0 lead in the second inning and had a four-run fourth.

Bushur had two singles, a double and three RBI for the winners while Konkel had three singles and three RBI. Buehnerkemper added two singles and four RBI and Schmidt two singles and an RBI.

St. Anthony was led by Hoene, Niebrugge and Blanchette with a single each.

T-town then had a 17-0 win again. This time the Shoes led 1-0 after the first then had a nine-run second, a two-run third and a five-run fourth.

Niebrugge had a single, double and two RBI while Siemer had three singles and three RBI. Lustig had a triple and Roepke a double and two RBI. Tegler contributed two singles and three RBI.

St. Anthony had one hit, a single by Boggs.

At Strasburg

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor handed Meridian an 11-01 loss in five innings Saturday.

SSW tallied five in the first and six in the second. A. Wittenberg, Wernsing and J. Wittenberg had two hits and two RBI each for the winners. Colin Kinkelaar went five innings, allowed three hits, no walks and struck out seven.
