TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis Junior High School stepped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and never looked back in a 10-6 victory over Charleston Thursday.

The Wooden Shoes had 12 hits in the contest led by Pruemer with three singles, a home run and four RBI, K. Althoff with two singles, a double and two RBI and Schmidt with a double and an RBI.

Schmidt was the winning pitcher, going four innings, allowing three hits and three walks.

At Kinmundy

South Central played host to Altamont and captured a 15-5 win in five innings with the 10-run rule.

Altamont held a 5-2 lead after two innings but South Central took a 7-5 lead in the third then had a seven-run fourth and finished out with a run in the fifth.

Johnston had a single and double for the winners. Holmes had a double and Dodson two singles.

Hammer and Reardon had a double and two RBI each for Altamont.

At Kinmundy

Shelbyville ended this game in the fifth via the 10-run rule for a 10-0 victory over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City.

Shelbyville took a 6-0 lead in the third then tacked on four more to end the game in the fifth.

CHBC was led by three players with a single each, Quaid Schlanser, Noah Hilvety-Southard and Ian Hammond.
