BSE, Altamont, Dieterich Nab High School Baseball Wins

Brownstown/St. Elmo came calling at Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and handed the homestanders a 6-1 loss in high school baseball action Tuesday.

The two teams went through four scoreless innings before BSE tallied two in the top of the fifth then tacked on two more in the sixth and two more in the seventh. CHBC scored it's lone run in the bottom of the seventh.

Maxey had two singles for the winners while Philpot had a single and drove in two runs. Brown picked up the pitching win, going 5.2 innings, allowing one hit, four walks and striking out 11. BSE improves to 1-1 overall.

CHBC was led by Manley and A. Wells with a single each.

At Beecher City

At Windsor

Altamont pounded out 14 hits and downed Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg, 10-2.

The Indians took a 4-0 lead in the third inning. WSS came back with two in the fourth but Altamont added on a single run in the fifth, three in the sixth and two in the seventh.

Alek Biggs picked up the pitching win, going all seven innings, allowing two hits, two walks and striking out nine.

Kaleb Whitt led the hitting barrage with three singles, a double and two RBI. Connor Reardon added a single and double. Wyatt Vaughn had a double and an RBI and Dakota Kuhlman and Dawson Guerrettaz had two singles each.

Christian Kessler led the Hatchets with a double.

At Dieterich

Dieterich took the early lead and went on to beat Neoga 8-1 in action Tuesday.

The Movin' Maroons held a 2-0 lead in the third inning then had a six-run fourth. The Maroons had nine hits led by Thoele with two doubles and an RBI and Campton with two singles. Thoele picked up the pitching win, going five innings, allowing one hit, one walk and striking out seven.

Fearday and Andrews had the lone two hits for Neoga with a single each.
