11-12 Year-Old League Tourney -- July 17

Arab Pest Control and Schumacher Orthodontics will be playing for the championship of the 11-12 Year-Old League after picking up victories Monday evening at Community Park.

Schumacher downed Kemper CPA 18-13 in a big-scoring contest. The two teams were tied at 1-1 until the third when Schumacher produced nine runs and Kemper four. Both teams had six runs in the fourth and Kemper came back within 16-13 with two runs in the fifth. Schumacher added on two more in the sixth for the winning margin.

Nick Wiedman had two doubles, a home run and two RBI for the winners while Spencer Fox had a triple and three RBI. Josh McDevitt, Gagie Gillum and Beau Adams had two singles each. McDevitt and Adams added two RBI.

Max Sager had a triple and two RBI for Kemper while Dylan Williams, Ross Schaefer and Evan Waymoth had a double each. Schaefer and Waymoth had two RBI each.

In the second contest, Arab Pest Control outscored Arrow Pest Control, 6-4. Arrow held a 2-0 lead until the third when Arab moved ahead 3-2 then tacked on two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth. Arrow attempted a comeback bid in the bottom of the sixth with two runs only to fall short.

 Arab had seven hits led by Camden Raddatz with a double, triple and two RBI and Wyatt Phillips and Evan Pryor with a double and an RBI each. Garrett Wolfe threw a one-hitter for the pitching win.

Connor Ropeke had the lone hit for Arrow with a triple.

Arab Pest Contorl will meet Schumacher Orthodontics at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday for the championship. Kemper CPA and Arrow Pest Control will square off at 5:30 for third place.
