The New York Yankees may have some problems with their pitching staff, but one man they're pleased with is Effingham's Chad Green.

Used almost exclusively as a reliever so far this season, the 26-year-old righthander had appeared in 19 games through Sunday for the Bronx Bombers. In 36 innings pitched, Green has allowed just 16 hits and only seven earned runs. He has walked 10 while striking out 49 batters. 

Opponents are batting .136 against Chad this season. His ERA is 1.75.
