Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament

Dan Hecht pulled out an 11-10 win over Russ Braunecker in opening round play of the Tomorrow's Stars Khoury League Tournament at Community Park Monday.

Braunecker took a 1-0 lead in the second. Dan Hecht tied at 1-1 in the third but Braunecker tallied two in the top of the fourth to lead 3-1. Dan Hecht came back once again to lead 4-3 but Braunecker tallied two in the top of the fifth to lead 5-4. Dan Hecht came back to lead 9-5 in the bottom of the frame.

Then it was Braunecker again with five runs in the top of the sixth to lead 01-9. In the bottom of the inning, Wyatt Hayes knocked out a two-run homer to win the game for Dan Hecht, 11-10.

Hayes finished with a double, home run and two RBI while Henry Brent had a single, two doubles and two RBI. John Bredenkamp added a single, double and two RBI.

Gabriel Koester led Braunecker with a double.

Dan Hecht advances to face Heritage Builders Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. followed by Taylor Law against Brown's Drug Store at 7:30.

11-12 Year-Old League Tournament

Whitetails Unlimited won the opening contest at the 11-12 Year-Old League Tournament Monday at Community Park.

Whitetails trailed Beck's Hybrids 5-1 after two innings but had a five-run third to pull ahead 6-5. Beck's tied in the top of the fifth but Whitetails came back in the bottom of the frame with five runs to win 11-6.

Noah Biggs had a triple and four RBI while Carter Bushue, Quest Hull and Peyton Bushue had two singles each. Bushue had three RBI while Bushue and Hull had one each.

Jonathan Willenborg led Beck's with a single, double and two RBI.
