WSS Beats Arcola, Area High School Baseball Roundup

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg High School handed Arcola a 12-2 defeat in baseball action in six innings Wednesday.

The Hatchets edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then had a four-run second, a two-run third and a four-run sixth.

Nic Hutchinson hit a home run and had two RBI for the Hatchets. Christian Kessler added a single, double and two RBI, Isaac Kramer two singles, a double and an RBI and Collin Ohnesorge two singles and two RBI.

Derek Moshenrose went four innings, allowing five hits, two runs, one walk and striking out three. Kramer came on two throw two innings, allowing two hits, one walk and striking out four.

North Clay (Louisville) suffered its first defeat of the season with a 13-1 loss to Edwards County (Albion).

Edwards County held a 1-0 lead until the third then took a 4-1 lead. Edwards County had a three-run fifth and a six-run sixth.

Edwards County banged out 13 hits in the game and was aided by eight North Clay errors.

The Cardinals were led by Aldrich with a solo home run and both Repkings had a double each.

Brownstown/St. Elmo fell to Okaw Valley 11-3 Wednesday.

BSE held a 1-0 lead until the second inning when Okaw Valley tallied four runs and never looked back.

Lewis Brown had a double and triple for BSE while Nate Philpot had two singles and two RBI.

BSE drops to 0-3 on the season.
