BLUFORD -- Effingham St. Anthony's Adam Levitt provided the big hits and the Bulldogs claimed a 3-2 baseball victory over Webber Township (Bluford) Thursday.

The Bulldogs tallied a run in the second inning on singles by Davis Tingley, Ethan Greene and Levitt who produced the first RBI.

But Webber Township came back in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. St. Anthony then tied the score at 2-2 when Brandon Puckett hit a double with one out. Drew Gibson got on base on an error that scored Puckett.

The two teams had baserunners on but couldn't get them across in the sevenths. The game went into the eighth when Levitt knocked out a home run to produce the winning RBI.

Colin Koester picked up the pitching win on a seven-hitter with no walks and three strikeouts.
