T-town Blanks S. Central, WSS Beats Altamont

TEUTOPOLIS -- Teutopolis High School took charge early and put away a 16-0 win in five innings over South Central in baseball action Monday.

The Wooden Shoes led 2-0 after one inning, 10-0 after two, 15-0 after three and finished at 16-0 with one in the fourth.

Brock Bueker picked up the pitching win by going four innings, allowing no hits, no walks and striking out five. Brant Bueker threw the final inning, allowing one hit.

Brock Bueker had a single, double and two RBI while Lane Belleville had a single, two doubles and two RBI and Eric Kremer two doubles and two RBI. Dylan Bloemer added a double and three RBI and Carson Hartke a double.

South Central's hit came from Matheny with a single.

T-town is now 14-0 on the season and back in action Thursday at North Clay (Louisville) at 4:30. South Central drops to 4-2 and returns to play today hosting Dieterich at 7 p.m.

At Altamont

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg handed Altamont a 9-6 loss Monday.

WSS edged ahead 2-0 in the first inning. Altamont came back to take a 3-2 lead in the second and push that to 4-2 in the third. WSS tallied three in the top of the fourth to push ahead 5-4 for a short time. Altamont tied in the bottom of the fourth.

The score was tied again in the fifth 6-6 before WSS moved ahead 7-6 in the sixth and tallied two in the seventh.

Chase Thies had two singles, two doubles and drove in three runs for the Hatchets. Issac Kramer had a single, double and an RBI while Christian Kessler and Beau Bennett had two singles and an RBI each.

Altamont was led by Kyle Pemberton with a single, double and an RBI.
