Effingham St. Anthony High School ended this baseball game against South Central in five innings via the 10-run rule, 11-1 Friday.

The Bulldogs moved ahead 1-0 in the first, added a single run in the second and tallied nine in the fourth.

Wall had a single, double and an RBI for the Bulldogs while Jansen, Puckett and Kabbes had two singles each. Kabbes had two RBI and Jansen and Puckett one each.

South Central had four hits, all singles, by four different players.

At St. Anthony

At Louisville

Neoga banged out 15 hits and downed North Clay (Louisville) 8-3.

The Cardinals held a 2-0 first inning lead but Neoga tallied four in the third then took off.

Drew Ramert picked up the pitching win on a four-hitter with three walks and four strikeouts. Caleb Hill had a single, double and an RBI while Justin Yurs had two singles, a double and an RBI. Clayton Butler added a single, double and two RBI.

Neoga is now 1-2 on the season.

North Clay was led by Brandon Repking with a home run and two RBI and Burkett with a home run and one RBI.

At Louisville

Altamont edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead. Brownstown/St. Elmo tied in the fifth.  Altamont then had a two-run sixth for a 3-1 victory.

Kaleb Whitt pitched the four-hitter with two walks and 10 strikeouts.

Altamont was led by Pemberton with two singles and an RBI.

Jeffrey Kelly had a double for BSE. BSE drops to 2-3 on the season, 1-3 in the National Trail Conference.

At Brownstown

The Wooden Shoes stepped out to a 5-0 first inning lead then had a five-run sixth for a 10-0 win over Odin.

The Shoes had 11 hits led by Brant Bueker with a single, double and an RBI, Hartke, Jansen, Belleville and Kremer with a double each. Kremer had two RBI and Hartke and Jansen had one RBI each.

Dieterich came calling and trailed Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 3-0 until the fifth when the Movin' Maroons pushed it into high gear.

Dieterich tallied two in the fifth, one in the sixth and three in the seventh for a 6-3 victory. Dieterich had eight hits led by Goedde with a single and double, McClain and Flach with two singles each. Flach had two RBI. Campton had a double and an RBI.

WSS was led by Overbeck with a home run and two RBI, Hutchinson with two singles and an RBI and Thies with a double.
