Teutopolis High School didn't let any grass grow under their collective feet Wednesday in handing Effingham St. Anthony a 10-1 baseball loss.

The Wooden Shoes stepped out to a 2-0 first inning lead. Cody Jansen led off with a walk. Brant Bueker and Jason Kenter followed with back-to-back singles and a Bulldog error figured in there.

The Shoes pushed that lead to 4-0 in the second when Lee Hardiek led off with a double, took second on a passed ball and third on an error. Brock Bueker followed with a single and Carson Hartke added a single.

In the third inning, Brant Bueker singled and Kenter followed with a single and the Shoes went up 5-0. T-town then tallied three more in the fifth on two errors, a walk and a hit by pitch.

T-town finished out with two more in the sixth on three walks and singles by Hartke and Lane Belleville.

St. Anthony's lone run came in the sixth. With one out, Austin Kline drew a walk. With two out, Bryar Jansen banged out a double that brought Kline home.
