11-12 Year-Old League Tournament -- July 5

Beck's Hybrids stepped out to a 4-0 first inning lead and went on to beat Arrow Pest Control 13-5 in 11-12 Year-Old League Tournament competition Tuesday at Community Park.

Beck's had four-run innings in the first and second and a five-run fifth. Samuel Vonderheide picked up the five-hit pitching win and also had two singles, a double and an RBI. Kaden Pemberton added a double and an RBI.

Jon Westendorf led Arrow with three singles.

Beck's advances to face Kemper CPA Monday at 7:30 p.m.

In the second game, Kemper CPA downed Arab Pest Control 5-1. Arab held a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Kemper tied in the second then had a four-run fourth.

Michael Martelli and Brock Jansen had a double each for the winners. Kendall Schmidt pitched a one-hitter. Will Kreke had the lone hit, a single, for Arab.

Kemper advances to face Beck's at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
