Babe Ruth Prep League -- June 15

K. Wohltman Construction had a big scoring first inning with six runs and went on for an 11-7 win over Taylor Law Offices in Babe Ruth Prep League play Wednesday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Chase Woomer pitched a four-hitter while offensively Wohltman had eight hits in the contest. Jackson Lee, Wyatt Sparks and Woomer had two singles each. Lee added three RBI while Sparks had two and Woomer one. Jakob Logan had a double.

Taylor Law had four hits, all singles by four different players.

In the second game, Effingham Asphalt tallied a 10-5 victory over Mid-Illinois Concrete.

Asphalt held a 1-0 second inning lead then took a 6-4 lead after five. Mid-Illinois pulled within 6-5 in the sixth but Asphalt tallied four insurance runs in the seventh.

Asphalt had only four hits in the contest led by Hunter Cripe with a single, double and four RBI and Jack Blickem with a double and an RBI.

Mid-Illinois was led by Logan Antrim with two singles and a double, Ben Thompson, Kaleb  Bolyard and Parker Wolfe with a double each. Wolfe had three RBI.
