Cardinals Sock Six Homers in Win; Cubs Commit Four Errors in Loss

Matt Holliday hit his first two home runs of the season, part of a six-homer barrage, as the St. Louis Cardinals pounded the Cincinnati Reds 14-5 Friday night.

Aledmys Diaz and Brandon Moss each hit three-run homers, and Matt Adams and Randal Grichuk also homered.

Joey Votto had a three-run homer for the Reds.

Carlos Martinez picked up his second win of the season, allowing six hits and a walk in seven innings of work, fanning six.

The Chicago Cubs committed four errors Friday, one of the reasons behind a 6-1 loss to the Colorado Rockies.

Kyle Hendricks allowed four runs, two earned and seven hits in six innings.

The Cubs had won five in a row.
