DIETERICH -- Dieterich High School trounced Brownstown 10-1 Monday evening in baseball action.

The score was tied at 1-1 until the fifth inning when Dieterich tallied two and then broke the game open with seven in the sixth.

The Movin' Maroons had 11 hits in the contest and were aided by four Brownstown errors. Brandon Westjohn pitched a three-hitter with three walks and nine strikeouts.

Tanner Traub led the Maroons in hitting with two singles, a double and four RBI. Alex Bohnhoff, Chris Lidy and Trenton Poe had two singles each. Bohnhoff and Poe drove in a run each.

Ramsey trailed St. Elmo 3-1 until the fourth inning then took a 5-3 lead and tacked on single runs in the sixth and seventh. Tristan Wesselman was the winning pitcher on a four-hitter with three walks and nine strikeouts.

St. Elmo was led by Connor Beasley with a home run and three RBI and Dalton Parks with a single and a double. The Eagles drop to 7-9 overall, 4-1 in the Egyptian-Illini Conference.
