T-town Edges St. A In Baseball, Dieterich Beats Cisne

Teutopolis High School stepped out to a 4-2 lead on Effingham St. Anthony and then held on for a 5-3 baseball victory Friday.

Brock Bueker had a single and double for the winners while Kyle Smith added two singles and an RBI. Cody Jansen had a double and two RBI while Carson Hartke picked up a double.

Leading St. Anthony was Greg Utz who had a double, home run and three RBI.

At Cisne

Dieterich blasted off to an 8-0 first inning lead and downed Cisne 12-6 in Friday competition.

Dieterich banged out 16 hits in the contest. Thoele had a double, home run and four RBI while Goedde had four singles, a double and three RBI. Campton had a single and double while Schmidt had a single and triple. Radloff and P. Thoele had a double each while Thoele added an RBI.

P. Thoele pitched the win, going six innings allowing five runs on seven hits, no walks and four strikeouts. C. Thoele came on in relief in the seventh allowing three hits, one run and three strikeouts.
