Effingham American Legion Post #120 suffered a 4-0 loss to Shelby County in action Friday at a Legion tournament in Greenville.

Hendryx's homer also drove in Hayden Cole. Also for Shelby County, Trevor Moore doubled and singled, and Jacob Kramer singled and drove in a run.

Post 120's top of the order did their job, as Nick Miller singled twice and doubled and Reid Kocher singled twice. The only other hits were singles from Lane Koenig and Kyle Bourgeois.

In earlier action Friday, Post 120 lost to Edwardsville, 8-1.

Shelby County Post played an earlier game Friday, taking a tough 1-0 loss to New Baden Legion Post. Guy Walk took the loss, despite allowing just five hits and a walk in seven innings of work, fanning four.
