All-Apollo Conference Baseball Team Announced

Three Effingham High School players were listed on the All-Apollo Conference Baseball teams just released. Senior Brayden Bone was named one of the Top 9 Players.

Also listed on the Top 9 Players were Mount Zion's Mason Bruce, a senior and Christian Von Qualen, a senior; Mattoon's Sawyer Scott, a junior, and Payton Hartbank, a senior; Charleston's Dallas Wilson, a senior; Taylorville's Tyler Roth, a senior and Salem's Brock Irwin, a senior and junior Dakota McDaneld.

Named to the Second Team were Effingham seniors Adam Koester and Carter Hayes. Also named were sophomore Andrew Auton of Mount Zion; seniors Corbin Richardson and Joey Allee of Mattoon; sophomore Dawson Armstrong and senior Jonah Moore of Charleston and junior Roudey Hensley of Salem.

Pitchers named to the team were Mount Zion senior Ryan Scharf, Mattoon senior Austin Warrem and Salem junior Riley Martin.

Mattoon won the conference with a 9-1 record followed by Mount Zion 6-4, Salem 6-4, Effingham 4-6, Charleston 4-6 and Taylorville 1-9.
