Teutopolis High School baseball coach Justin Fleener and Effingham High School baseball coach Chris Fleener are brothers. Sibling rivalry? Yes, that's there.

While you can see the affection between the two, you can also sense that when Monday's baseball game was played between the Wooden Shoes and Flaming Hearts, both had a lot invested in the contest.

The baseball programs of both Fleeners will benefit from the salute to youth baseball planned Saturday night, May 9, at the Effingham Performance Center. The event is also a fundraiser and a chance to honor the American Legion baseball programs in the area.

The event is set for 6:30pm Saturday. Doors will open at 6pm. Tickets are $25 per person and will be available at the door, but every young person attending in uniform will be admitted free.
