Pirates Hand Marshall Baseball Defeat

TOLEDO -- Cumberland handed Marshall an 11-8 defeat in baseball competition Thursday.

Marshall led 1-0 after two innings and the score was knotted at 2-2 after three and 5-5 after four. Marshall went ahead 7-4 in the top of the sixth but the Pirates came roaring back with a seven-run inning.

Reilly Mathenia led the Pirates with two singles and a double. Sam Bauguss had two singles and an RBi and Hayden Kanizer a triple and two RBI.

At Toledo

At Shelbyville

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg and Shelbyville played to a 1-1 tie in the top of the third but due to rain, the game was postponed and will be rescheduled at a later date.
