Cubs Hire Ramirez, Youkilis As Consultants

(Mesa, AZ) -- A pair of former Red Sox sluggers are joining the Cubs as consultants. The club has hired Manny Ramirez and Kevin Youkilis. "Man-Ram" will continue to work with Cubs' major and minor league hitters on the fundamental and mental aspects of hitting. Youkilis will serve as a scouting and player development consultant.

Cardinals' First Full-Squad Workout Today

(Jupiter, FL) -- The Cardinals are all gathered in Jupiter, Florida as spring training kicks into full gear today. The team will hold its first full-squad workout after position players reported to Roger Dean Stadium Tuesday. The Cardinals open Grapefruit League play March 5 against the Miami Marlins.
