Effingham Sacred Heart played host to St. Elmo and fell 15-11 in junior high baseball play Tuesday.

The Shamrocks stepped out to a 9-2 first inning lead but St. Elmo clawed back, scoring two runs in the second, five in the third, four in the fifth and two in the sixth to pull out the victory. Teezel led St. Elmo with three hits and three RBI.

Sacred Heart was led by R. Kruger who went four-for-five.

Effingham banged out 10 hits in the contest to down St. Michael 5-1. The Mustangs tallied two runs in the first and fifth and one in the sixth. St. Michael's lone run came in the fifth.

Beals led Effingham with three singles while Koenig and Bateman had a single, double and an RBI each. Effingham is now 10-1 on the season and back in action Wednesday hosting St. Anthony.

Stewardson-Strasburg stepped out to a 5-2 first inning lead and never looked back, ending the game in the sixth via the 10-run rule.

Derrick Moschenrose had three hits and four RBI to lead the winners. Theis picked up the pitching win on a two-hitter with three walks and seven strikeouts. Stew-Stras improves to 9-0 and is back in action Thursday against Sigel St. Michael.

Dieterich downed Altamont Lutheran 13-3 behind seven hits and six errors by Lutheran.

Schmidt picked up the pitching win. Dieterich returns to action Thursday at St. Elmo.

Ramsey 13, Beecher City 7

Despite holding a 2-1 first inning lead, Beecher City fell to Ramsey. Beecher City had three hits in the game but unfortunately committed six errors.

Cody Grove, Hunter Seaton and Cole Bushue had a single each. Seaton drove in two runs and Jeff Stoldt had an RBI.
