(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago White Sox are bringing in first baseman Adam LaRoche. The Sox officially signed the slugger to a two-year, $25-million contract on Tuesday. The 35-year-old hit .259 with 26 home runs and 92 RBI in 140 games last season for the Washington Nationals.

LaRoche spent four years playing in the nation's capital. The White Sox had a void at first base following the retirement of veteran Paul Konerko.
