(San Francisco, CA) -- Madison Bumgarner kept the Royals quiet as the Giants rolled to a 5-0 win in Game Five of the World Series from AT&T Park. Bumgarner threw the first complete-game shutout in the Fall Classic since 2003.  He struck out eight and allowed four hits to pick up his second win.

Brandon Crawford knocked in three runs for San Francisco, which is up 3-2 in the best-of-seven series. Pablo Sandoval and Hunter Pence each scored twice in the win. James Shields allowed two runs in six innings for the loss. He also lost to Bumgarner in Game One of the World Series. Game Six is Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium.
