North Clay Jr. High Loses Season Ender to Wayne City

In a wild junior high baseball game, Wayne City outlasted North Clay 17-15.

For North Clay, Fleener, Burkett and Clifton each had three hits, Repking, Jones and Smith each had two hits, and Zimdars and Bible each had a hit. Fleener, Zimdars, Repking, Burkett and Smith each drove in two runs, while Bible and Rinehart each drove in a run.

Burkett started and went 3-2/3 innings, allowing 10 runs, five earned, on eight hits and five walks with four strikeouts. Fleener got one out, and Zimdars pitched two innings and gave up seven runs, three earned, on four hits and three walks while fanning three.

North Clay finished the season with an 11-4 record.
