NEOGA -- Effingham St. Anthony traveled to Neoga and claimed a 5-2 victory Thursday. The Bulldogs took a 3-2 lead in the third inning then had single runs in the fourth and sixth.

The Bulldogs had 11 hits in the contest led by Braden Puckett with a double and an RBI, Brandon Puckett with a double and Kyle Bourgeois, Drew Gibson and Jacob Lorenz with two singles each.

Monroe hit a solo home run for Neoga. Moore, Hoedebecke and Yurs had two singles each.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg picked up a National Trail Conference win over Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick 8-3.

Windsor/Stew-Stras scored three runs in the third and fourth innings and never looked back. Nic Hutchinson had two doubles and an RBI for the winners while Jacob Kramer had two singles and three RBI. Blake Nichols added a double.

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick was led by Austin Rexroad with a double.

The Cardinals had nine hits in the game led by Stinnett, Lovett and J. VanDyke with two singles each.

BSE was led by Malachi Maxey with two singles and Lewis Brown with a double. BSE drops to 1-1 while North Clay is 2-1.
