Junior High Baseball Roundup -- Aug. 21

Effingham claimed a 6-3 win over Effingham St. Anthony in baseball competition Thursday.

EJHS took a 1-0 first inning lead and had a three-run third and a two-run fourth. St. Anthony's runs came in the fifth.

Ballman picked up the pitching win while Lee had the save. Jackson had a single and double for the Mustangs. Lee and Bushur had a double and an RBI each.

St. Anthony was led by Strullmeyer with two doubles.

EJHS improves to 3-0 on the season.

Mount Zion came calling and took home a 5-1 win over Teutopolis Thursday.

Mount Zion quickly took a 1-0 lead then tallied two in the third and single runs in the fourth and seventh. T-town's lone run came in the fourth.

Clint Weber had a double for T-town.
