T-town 10U Wooden Shoes Complete Successful Season

The T-town 10U Wooden Shoes recently completed their 2014 baseball season. This is their third season of traveling baseball made up of kids from the T-Town School District.

They finished a successful season with a 17-16 record. The schedule consisted of two doubleheaders and eight tournaments. The majority of the competition was against 3A and 4A schools or area all-star teams.

The team finished in second place at the Effingham Memorial Day Tourney going 4-1 and the T-Town Invitational. They had four third place finishes including Mattoon Spring Classic, Newton Strawberry Fest, Nashville Tourney, and the Mattoon Round Robin.  They also finished tied for fifth at Charleston and tied for eighth at Mount Zion. T-Town competed in eight tournaments and finished in the top five in seven of those tournaments.

"We will be back in action in the summer of 2015 when we look forward to ramping up our schedule to include the Game Day State Tournament and several other large tournaments," said Coach Chad Buehnerkemper.
