(St. Louis, MO) -- Matt Holliday hit a two-run homer and drove in all three runs as the Cardinals held on to beat the Dodgers 3-2 at Busch Stadium. Lance Lynn struck out nine over six-plus innings of two-run ball to move to 11-6 on the season. Trevor Rosenthal recorded his 29th save for St. Louis, which has won six of eight. Dan Haren gave up three runs over 4-2/3 innings, falling to 8-7 for Los Angeles. A.J. Ellis doubled in a run and scored in the seventh for the Dodgers, who had won three of four.

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Paul Goldschmidt hit a solo homer as the Diamondbacks defeated the Cubs 5-4 at Chase Field. Didi Gregorious added two RBI for Arizona, which has won two of three. Eury De La Rosa got the win, and Addison Reed notched his 22nd save. Anthony Rizzo hit two homers and knocked in three runs for Chicago, which has lost three straight. Brian Schlitter took the loss.

(Chicago, IL) -- Dayan Viciedo hit a two-run homer as the White Sox clipped the Astros 3-2 at US Cellular Field. Tyler Flowers broke a two-all tie in the seventh with an RBI double as Chicago won just its second in six games. Jose Quintana struck out eight over five frames of two-run ball while Daniel Webb got the win, and Zach Putnam added his second save.Scott Feldman fell to 4-7 after allowing three runs in seven innings for Houston. Robbie Grossman drove in a run for the Astros, who have lost three of four.
