Cardinals Open Second Half Friday Against Dodgers

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Cardinals open the second half of the season tomorrow against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Busch Stadium. The Redbirds are currently second in the NL Central at 52-44, one game behind the Brewers. Lance Lynn will start for the Redbirds. He is 10-6 with a 3.14 ERA in 19 starts. LA will counter with right-hander Dan Haren, who is 8-6 with a 4.23 ERA.


Cubs At Diamondbacks

(Phoenix, AZ) -- The Cubs start the second half of the season on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Chicago is expected to send Edwin Jackson to the hill Friday night. Arizona will counter with Trevor Cahill in the first of three games from Chase Field.


White Sox Host Astros

(Chicago, IL) -- The White Sox begin the second half of the year at home Friday against the Astros. Jose Quintana is slated to throw for the Sox against Scott Feldman of Houston. The three-game series goes through Sunday.


International League Wins All-Star Game

(Durham, NC) -- Jhonatan Solano hit a two-run homer to help the International League drop the Pacific Coast League 7-3 in the Triple-A All-Star Game from Durham, North Carolina.  Indians pitcher Casey Sadler tossed a shutout inning while teammate Andy Oliver gave up a run in two-thirds of a frame in the win.  Starter Liam Hendriks got the win.
