Teutopolis Advances in Senior District Tournament

ROBINSON -- Teutopolis picked up two victories during Saturday action in the Senior Legion District Baseball Tournament.

Teutopolis blanked Robinson 9-0 in the opening game of the day. In the second contest, Olney bounced Effingham 15-1. Teutopolis then finished out the day with a 6-4 win over Vandalia.

Sunday's action was rained out and will be played today. Effingham will face Robinson at 4 p.m. while Teutopolis takes on Olney at 7 p.m.

The tournament comes to a close Tuesday with the loser bracket championship at 4 p.m. followed by the first championship game at 7 p.m. If there is to be a second championship game, it will be played Wednesday at 5 p.m.
