Michael Woltman went 3-for-4 at the plate, but American Legion Effingham Junior Post 120 still fell to Altamont Post 512 5-2 in seven innings Thursday at Altamont High School.

Caleb Miller got it done on the bump on the way to a win for Altamont. He allowed two runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered nine hits. Altamont Post 512's Thomas Caravello, Nick Miller, Brandon Runge and Klaiton Wolff combined for nine hits and four RBIs.

The game's last lead went to Altamont Post 512 thanks to a first inning that saw two runs cross the plate on an RBI double by Devon Guerrettaz and an RBI single by Wolff.

Two runs in the top of the fifth helped Effingham Junior Post 120 close its deficit to 4-2. A two-run double by Woltman scoring Eli Buhrman and Bryar Jansen triggered Effingham's comeback.

Post 120 plays at Evergreen Park today at 5:30 p.m. against Robinson in a doubleheader.
