EHS Downs Altamont in Baseball Action

Effingham High School handed Altamont an 8-1 loss in baseball action Friday. Altamont took a 1-0 first inning lead before the Hearts tallied two in the second and one in the third. EHS then pushed its lead to 8-1 with a five-run fifth.

The Hearts had eight hits led by Michael Woltman with a single, double and two RBI and Swayde Sanders with two doubles and two RBI.

Altamont had four hits by four different players.
