Chandler Hout Wilson, 42, of Edwardsville, formerly of Casey, passed away in his sleep on Sunday evening, January 5, 2014 at his home in Edwardsville.
 
Private family services will be held on Saturday, January 11th at Hall Funeral Chapel in Effingham. A visitation for the public will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10th, also at Hall Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Arborcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Funkhouser, rural Effingham. Chandler was born on September 2, 1971 to Rita Jo (Hout) Wilson of Effingham IL, and Jimmie Lee Wilson of Casey IL.  Chandler graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a 4 year degree that he completed in 2 years while raising 4 beautiful boys. He graduated with the high honor of Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduation he went to work for Boeing Company in St. Louis MO. where he was one of the teams that worked to keep our fighter jets in the air. He invented a program for the Boeing Company which Boeing named after him calling it "Chandler's Tool". He traveled to other Boeing facilities both in the United States and in Europe, teaching how to use the program he built. Chandler always loved to fly and flew solo at the young age of 15. He lived his dream and love of aviation, through Boeing.
 
He was a special young man of many talents and had a great love for family and friends. Chandler was a very social person full of life, fun, and he had a wonderful smile.  He was due to be married to Karen Etzkorn of Edwardsville, IL, this coming April.
 
He is survived by his parents, 4 sons; Jake, Justin, Luke and Matt, sister; Mrs. Eric (Angela Dale) McBride of Dorset, VT, nephew; Logan and niece; Julia McBride of Dorset VT, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and fiancé; Karen Etzkorn.
 
Chandler will be missed by his loving family and friends.
