Leoma Dryden (87) of Toledo

Leoma Dryden, 87, of Toledo, Illinois passed away at 1:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday December 20 at Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday evening at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Mullen Cemetery rural Montrose. Memorials can be made to either the Salem UMC or to Eastern Star #231 Toledo. Online condolences may be left by clicking here.
Leoma was born the youngest of 12 children in Cumberland County, Illinois, August 7, 1926 to Harvey and Bertha (Ferguson) Kingery. She married James Dryden June 15, 1946. Leoma was a homemaker and was a cook for Cumberland schools and Toledo Kiwanis; she also worked at the L & L Market in Toledo. She attended the Salem United Methodist Church, was a member and past president of both the Greenup VFW and Greenup American Legion Women’s Auxiliary; also Cumberland County Home Extension, Friendly Neighbors and the Neoga Craft Club. She was also a 30 year member of the Order of Eastern Star # 231 in Toledo.
Surviving is her husband of 67 years; children, Dennis (wife Lois) Dryden of Jewett, Sandy Millsap of Montrose, Mary Kay (husband Bill) Calvert of Toledo, Nancy (husband Mike) Sowers of Greenup, Lou Ann (husband Darrell) Sowers of Jewett and Keith (wife Sandy) Dryden of Toledo; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Leoma was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ray Thomas Dryden; seven brothers, four sisters and one grandson.
