Thomas M. Zang (71) of rural Neoga

Thomas M. Zang, Sr., 72, of rural Neoga, Illinois formerly of rural Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 10:29 A.M., Thursday, December  12, in the Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Tom was born June  29, 1941 in New York, the son of Paul M. and Alvirda Jenny Pauline (Benner) Zang, Sr.  Tom married Sandra K. (Herman) Rardin Rigsby, April 29, 2000, in Greenup, Illinois. He was a member of the Home Missionary Church of Neoga, IL and the Neoga American Legion of Neoga. Tom enjoyed working with the Amish Community and his family would like to express their Gratitude to the Amish Community for accepting him into the Community and for the special friendships. Tom's favorite saying was "you're gonna miss me when I'm gone".  No one could smoke a pork as good as Tom.  

He leaves wife Sandra K. Zang of rural Neoga, IL ; three sons, Jeffery Zang of Harrisburg, PA, Tommy Zang, Jr. and wife Raviel of Alexandria, VA and Randy Rardin of Neoga, IL; four daughters,  Cindy Klinger Krut and husband Steve of Marietta, PA, Allison Zang McCartney of Claysville, PA, Marie Lammay of Virginia Beach, VA and Kay Stivers and husband Keith of Mattoon, IL; one brother, Steven F. Zang and wife Kim of Carbondale, IL; one sister, Nancy Souder and husband Roy of Zephyrhills, FL; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mr. Zang was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jason T. Zang; one brother, Paul Zang and one sister, Robin Zang. Memorial may be made to Donor's Choice.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) Tuesday, December  17, 2013, in the Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga, with Pastor, Rev. Lewis Ryder of Neoga, officiating. The family requests casual attire. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, December  17, 2013, until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery of Greenup, Illinois.
