John Kenneth Richard Freeman (91) of Decatur

John Kenneth Richard Freeman went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at McKinley Court in Decatur.
The tenth child born to John Franklin Freeman and Mamie Latta Freeman on December 31st, 1921. He married Marjorie Maxine Dunne on July 19, 1941. John was a WWII Veteran, retired farmer and factory worker.
John was preceded in death by his parents and 10 siblings.
Surviving is his wife, Marjorie of 72 years and seven children, Dixie Godwin (Wayne) of Baxter, TN, Teresa Habbe (Lynus) of Decatur, John Freeman (Debbie) of Hammond, Il, Jerry Freeman (Carla), of Decatur, Il, Beverly Caudill (Sonny), of Decatur, Il, Jeffrey Freeman (Debbie), of Decatur, Il. & Bridgiette Allen (Brian) of Kernersville, NC. Combined, John has left us a wonderful legacy totaling 44 grandchildren, great-grand children and great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday October 19th 2013 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 to service time on Saturday at the funeral chapel, the family requests casual attire. Burial with full Military Rites by Cumberland County Veterans will be in the Friends Grove Cemetery.
