Cletus Anthony Siefker, age 87, of Tallahassee, Florida passed away at 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2023 in Tallahassee surrounded by his family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish. Father Zach Patibandla will be officiating. Burial will take place at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2023 at Bauer Funeral Home in Effingham. Clete was born on September 15, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of August and Mae (Noppenberger) Siefker. He married Velma Pagel on November 28, 1964 at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Effingham, Illinois. He enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and bowling. He coached little league baseball and football for several years. Clete loved traveling and creating memories with his family and friends as well as working in his yard. He was involved with the Catholic Church as Eucharistic Minister.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Velma Siefker of Tallahassee, Florida; son, Craig Siefker (wife Debora) of Tallahassee, Florida; brother, Paul Siefker (wife Claire) of Indian Town, Florida; and two grandchildren, Cameron Siefker (girlfriend Lindsey Sampson) and Olivia Siefker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, August and Mae Siefker; sons, Bryan and Kevin Siefker; brothers, Robert, Walter, John, and Gus “August” Siefker; sister, Marianna Siefker.
