Pastor Steve William Massengill (63) of Neoga

Pastor Steve William Massengill 63, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 7:42 PM Wednesday April 19, 2023 in his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born October 28, 1959 in Bloomington, Indiana the son of Lloyd and Ruth (Farmer) Massengill. Steve married Gloria Hubbart May 28, 1983 in Kansas, Illinois. Mr. Massengill was the Pastor of the Free Methodist Church of Neoga, Illinois. He proudly served in the United States Army.

Pastor Steve is survived by his wife Gloria Massengill of Neoga, Illinois; children, Amber McDuffie (Ryan) of Sigel, Illinois, Alicia Floyd (Natavin) of Charleston, Illinois, Jacob Massengill (Jamie) of Neoga, Illinois and Corralyn Clark of Neoga, Illinois; seven grandchildren; brothers, Michael Massengill of Mattoon, Illinois, Tim K. Massengill (Tammie) of Neoga, Illinois; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Paul Hatten.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Monday April 24, 2023 in the Free Methodist Church in Neoga, Illinois. Visitation will be held Monday April 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM until service time also in the Church. Burial will be in the Long Point Cemetery of Neoga, Illinois with Military Services by the Neoga American Legion Post 458 of Neoga, Illinois.
